A blood-sucking Halloween party guest
Upcycled vampire costume created out of thrifted fabric from a curtain, 4 dresses, and a vest. Finished with notions and adornments from a craft store.

Lining up the thrifted dress fabric with the vest pattern for cutting, making sure the pattern orientation is symmetrical on both sides

Cut fabric laid over the vest to pin for sewing. With the fabric pinned, I sewed over the backside of the vest, to ensure the seem lined up with the edge of the garment.

A second stitch was added after folding the half inch of excess fabric over the edges of the garment. For the parts that connected with the back of the vest, some extra trimming was required.

With the edges trimmed, it folded nice and neatly underneath!
